天主教教宗良十四世（Pope Leo XIV）周六（11月29日）参观土耳其伊斯坦布尔的蓝色清真寺，期间未有祈祷。外媒指，此举似乎让梵蒂冈感到意外。

天主教荣休教宗本笃十六世（Pope Benedict XVI）与教宗方济各（Pope Francis）分别于2006年和2014年访问蓝色清真寺，当时他们都面朝东方进行片刻的静默祈祷。而与前任教宗们建立的传统不同，良十四世在参观蓝色清真寺时似乎没有祈祷。

良十四世的决定似乎连梵蒂冈也感到意外，因为梵蒂冈此前曾表示良十四世将在清真寺进行“短暂的静默祈祷”。
